Which TV BRACKET is right for you?

Mounting your TV is a great idea – it saves space and looks great. But which TV Bracket is the best fit for your needs? Well in this video we’re going to take a look at the different types of TV Brackets and their functionality to help you decide.

SIZE AND WEIGHT

While size does matters & supported sizes are listed in the TV Bracket names, ensuring that your bracket can hold the weight of your TV is crucial. One 50” TV could weigh a lot more than another so it’s important to ensure that the mount you select will support the weight of your TV, you can check the maximum weight loads in the product descriptions on our website.

VESA MOUNTS

Vesa MountsMoving onto VESA MOUNTS. Flip your TV over and you’ll find 4 mounting holes otherwise known as vesa mounts. You need to measure the horizontal and vertical distance between these holes to determine the VESA mount measurements unique to your TV that will enable you to securely mount your TV to the TV Bracket.

Note: Measure in millimetres. Do not measure the diagonal distance. Only measure the horizontal & vertical distance between the vesa mount holes.

Next, think about what FUNCTIONALITY you’d like.

Full Motion TV Brackets

Do you want to be able to change the angle of your TV? Then look at the degree of swivel (left and right movement) or (up & down) tilt a bracket is capable of. FULL MOTION TV BRACKETS, like this Heavy Duty 32-55" Full Motion Wall Mount, offer the most functionality.

Fixed Wall Mounts

If you don’t need the TV to swivel or the ability to access the TV’s ports often then a FIXED WALL MOUNT with integrated bubble level can simplify installation and position the TV close to the wall for a streamlined look. For these reasons fixed wall mounted TV Brackets are a popular choice and the go-to option for Audio Visual Installers.

If you’re planning on mounting your TV more than 110cm from the ground look for a wall mount that tilts down, like the Titan AV 37-80” Low Mount Tilt TV Bracket, for a more comfortable view & reduced glare.

Ceiling Mounted TV Brackets

Lastly, CEILING MOUNTED TV BRACKETS are perfect for when you have limited wall space, glass walls or need to mount the TV a distance away from the wall. Our Titan AV 17-37" Ceiling Mount, Tilt & Swivel TV Bracket can fold right up on its self to save space & securely locks to the ceiling plate making it ideal for caravans or boats.

To sum up. When you’re looking for a TV Bracket:

  1. Check that the wall mount is rated for the correct weight of your TV before checking your screen size.
  2. Get your unique VESA mount measurement from the vertical & horizontal distance between mounting holes on the back of your TV.
  3. Pick a style of mount (wall mount or ceiling mount) that’s going to work best for your application.
  4. And finally, functionality. Do you need the TV to swivel or tilt?

Once you have the wall mount installed and the TV hooked up, all you need to do is sit back, relax, and enjoy your favorite show or movie.
